This clinic will be headed by ACD (previously level 4) coach Chris Summers, assisted by Vancouver CC staff coaches. The clinic will run from 7 pm-10 pm at the Vancouver Curling Club. This clinic will focus on the general principles of curling strategy and tactics, especially for club curlers. We will cover general strategy topics, specific information about concepts such as “shot tolerance”, “risk vs reward”, and understanding our team “DNA” when it comes to strategy. This is geared towards anyone who wants to understand the concepts behind curling strategy and the tactics we use to implement those strategies, not just skips. While the clinic will mostly be off the ice, we will also take the discussion out of the classroom to try to apply some of these concepts in practical situations on the ice.
